Johannah Leach

Johannah Leach is the Founder and Director of Dance Revelation Studio. She began her dance training at the age of 9 in St. Louis MO. She moved to Pennsylvania at the age of 15 and studied dance at various schools. At the age of 18-20 she continued her training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carilise, PA.  

Johannah has trained and competed in Ballet, Jazz, Character Jazz, Hip Hop, Point, Tap and Lyrical. At the age of 20 she gained extensive teaching and choreography experience as an instructor at Studio C in St. Louis, MO.  

"I am always learning and wanting to better my education as an instructor and studio owner. I travel every few months to NYC to learn from some of the greatest teachers and choreographers! I then bring back what I learn to DRS in hopes to better the dance education of the students. I also travel to various teacher conferences and conventions. I believe that learning from fellow teachers and dancers is key to a bright education. I learn something new every day from the students and parents of DRS.  

My passion for dance began at the age of 6. It took a few years for my parents to realize this passion was not just something that would come and go. They were able to identify that dance was a part of who I was as a person and would be a part of me for the rest of my life 

When my parents allowed me to try out my interest, dance, they were able to find so much joy in watching me do what I love. As an adult, I can say I love what I do and I love my job. I am very blessed to know each day I am working with such amazing staff members and students who all treasure the gift of...dance."

In November of 2007, Johannah opened Dance Revelation Studio. It began in the basement of her home and quickly grew in just 6 months to over 50 students. Dance Revelation moved to its current building during the spring of 2008. DRS have now grown to over 220 students! Some of these students take multiple classes, which creates over 450 bodies taking classes once a week.

In just 4 years DRS's staff has grown from 2 instructors to 11 instructors. It is important to the staff that each class has 2-3 teachers so that each student can get the "individual" attention they may need.

The DRS teachers value each gifting and the treasure that is inside of each student. We feel it is important as a child and adult to recognize the gift and passion one may have and use it! For me my calling was dance and to train others to be the dancer they want to be.

We encourage everyone to allow them to dabble in their different interests. Whether one ends up being a dancer, gymnast, pianist, basketball player or an architect, allowing one to try their interest out is key.

The Staff is excited to help foster each student’s passion for dance. One of our goals is to help each student discover the dancer within them! We hope you would consider joining Dance Revelation!
